Palawan Beach
A calm, family-friendly beach on Sentosa with soft sand, shady palms and a rope bridge to a small islet with lookout towers.
About Palawan Beach
Palawan Beach is a calm, family-friendly beach on the south coast of Sentosa. It sits between Siloso Beach and Tanjong Beach, and entry to the beach is free.
With soft sand, shady palms and gentle water, it is a good place to relax for a few hours. It is popular with families, couples and anyone who wants a break from the city.
Why visit Palawan Beach
Palawan Beach is often seen as the most family-friendly of Sentosa's three main beaches. The water is usually calm, which suits paddling and gentle swimming.
The beach is easy to reach from the city in well under an hour. That makes it a good half-day trip, even on a short stay.
It also has a fun extra: a small islet just offshore, linked to the beach by a bridge. Sentosa often promotes this islet as the southernmost point of continental Asia.
You can spend a lazy afternoon here or combine it with other attractions on the island. Either way, you get a taste of beach life without leaving Singapore.
What to see and do
There is plenty to do for a few relaxed hours. These are some favourites.

- The suspension bridge: when it is open, a swaying rope bridge leads to the small islet.
- The lookout towers: climb the towers on the islet for views over the sea and passing ships.
- Swimming and paddling: enjoy the calm water in the marked swimming areas.
- Sandcastles and beach games: the soft sand is ideal for young children.
- Sunset walks: stroll along the shore as the light softens in the evening.
Bring a towel or mat, and find a shady spot under the palms. There are public toilets and showers along the Sentosa beaches.
Beach facilities and activities change over time. Look for signs on the beach for the latest information.
How to get there
From the city, take the MRT to HarbourFront station and walk to VivoCity. From there, ride the Sentosa Express monorail to Beach station.
From Beach station, walk east for a few minutes, or take one of the island buses. You can also walk across to Sentosa on the Sentosa Boardwalk from VivoCity.
