Pasir Ris Park

A seaside park in east Singapore with a mangrove boardwalk, a bird watching tower, a sandy beach and plenty of space for children.

About Pasir Ris Park

Pasir Ris Park is a large seaside park on the north-east coast of Singapore. It has a long beach, shady lawns and a mangrove boardwalk. Families come here to cycle, picnic and let children run free.

Entry is free. The park is usually calm on weekday mornings, when you may have the paths almost to yourself.

Why visit Pasir Ris Park

The park mixes beach, mangrove and open green space in one place. You can walk through the mangroves in the morning and relax by the sea in the afternoon.

It is also a good spot for nature. The mangrove area is home to crabs, mudskippers, birds and monitor lizards. Bird watchers can climb a tower to look out over the trees.

For families, the park offers playgrounds, wide paths and plenty of space. It is easy to spend a few relaxed hours here.

Things to do at Pasir Ris Park

Mangrove boardwalk

A boardwalk runs through a patch of mangrove forest along Sungei Tampines, a river at the edge of the park. Look down at the mud for mudskippers and crabs. Signs along the way explain the trees and animals.

Bird watching tower

A three-storey bird watching tower stands near the mangroves. From the top, you can look across the treetops and spot herons, kingfishers and other birds.

Beach and picnics

The beach faces the sea towards Pulau Ubin. It is a calm place for a walk or a picnic under the trees. Barbecue pits are available, but they must be booked in advance through official channels.

Cycling and play areas

Cycling paths run through the park and link to the wider park connector network. Children will enjoy the playgrounds and the open lawns. Bring a ball or a kite for the grassy areas.

How to get to Pasir Ris Park

The nearest MRT station is Pasir Ris, at the eastern end of the East-West Line. From there, the park is a walk of around 15 to 20 minutes, or a short bus or taxi ride.

The park is large, with several entrances and car parks. If you want to see the mangrove boardwalk first, check a map before you go.
