Singapore Cable Car
A scenic cable car ride over the harbour linking Mount Faber, HarbourFront and Sentosa, with a second line on the island.
About Singapore Cable Car
The Singapore Cable Car carries visitors high above the harbour between Mount Faber, HarbourFront and Sentosa. It gives you wide views of the sea, the island and the city on the way.
It is a fun way to reach Sentosa, and many people ride it just for the views. It suits families, couples and first-time visitors alike.
Why ride the Singapore Cable Car
The cable car is one of the easiest ways to see the south of Singapore from above. Cabins glide over green hills, the harbour and the edge of Sentosa.
The first line opened in 1974, and the system has been updated many times since. Today the cabins are modern, enclosed and comfortable.
For many visitors, the ride is part of a day on Sentosa. Instead of taking the train in, you arrive with a view.
The two cable car lines
The network has two separate lines. You can ride one or both, depending on your ticket.

- Mount Faber Line: links Mount Faber, HarbourFront and Sentosa. It crosses the water between the mainland and the island.
- Sentosa Line: runs within Sentosa. It links the Imbiah area in the middle of the island with Siloso Point near the western beaches.
On the Mount Faber Line, look out for ships in the harbour and the hills of Sentosa ahead. As you climb towards Mount Faber, the city skyline comes into view.
The Sentosa Line is shorter but still scenic. It gives you a look over the island's beaches, forest and the sea beyond.
How to get there
The easiest place to start is HarbourFront. Take the MRT to HarbourFront station on the North East Line or Circle Line, then follow the signs to the cable car station.
You can also start at the top of Mount Faber if you are walking in Mount Faber Park. From Sentosa, board at the station in the Imbiah area.
If you are new to the trains, read our guide on how to use the MRT in Singapore.
