Changi Beach Park

A long, quiet beach on Singapore's eastern tip, with sea views, planes overhead and a hawker centre in nearby Changi Village.

About Changi Beach Park

Changi Beach Park is a long, quiet beach park at the eastern tip of Singapore, close to Changi Village. You can walk along the sand, have a picnic and watch planes fly low overhead from nearby Changi Airport.

Entry is free. The park has a calm, local feel, which makes it a good place to slow down for a few hours.

Why visit Changi Beach Park

The park stretches for around 3 km along the coast. Shady trees line much of the beach, and there are paths for walking and cycling.

Plane spotting is a favourite activity here. Aircraft pass low over the park as they fly in and out of Changi Airport. Families often bring children to watch them.

The beach also has quiet sea views. You can see boats and nearby islands across the water.

A place to remember

Changi Beach is also a place of history. A heritage marker remembers civilians who were killed on this beach in 1942, during the Japanese Occupation. Please treat the site with respect.

Changi Point Coastal Walk

Near Changi Village, the Changi Point Coastal Walk is a boardwalk along the shore. It is a pleasant walk in the late afternoon, when the sun is lower.

How to get to Changi Beach Park

There is no MRT station right next to the park. The easiest way is to take a bus or taxi to Changi Village, then walk to the beach. Buses run to Changi Village from Tanah Merah MRT station and other parts of the east.

Keen cyclists can ride here along the coastal park connectors from East Coast Park. It is a long ride, so bring water and plan your rest stops.

Read our guide on how to use the MRT in Singapore to plan your trip.
